Tarell McCants, 26, was arrested around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 4, in Springfield, Chester City police said. He was found with a black 9mm Taurus pistol.
McCants had been wanted on attempted murder charges in an Oct. 17, 2021 shooting near 21st Street and Edgmont Avenue, police said.
McCants was transported to Chester Police Headquarters for processing, and the Springfield Township Police Department is charging McCants with firearms violations.
McCants was remanded to George W. Hill Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 cash bail. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday, April 18.
